More fun ready-mix
Take 1 pkg. crescent rolls and spread them out on the bottom
of a 9X13 cake pan. Pinch together where it is perforated.
Mix (at room temperature) cream cheese and sugar. Spread
mixture on top of crescent roll dough. Finish by laying second
pkg. of crescent rolls on top and pinching together where
perforated. Bake in oven at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
The last time I made this I mixed 1 egg and 1/2 cup sugar
and basted the top. It made it more appealing with the glaze
look to it. Well, that's my quickie recipe. And believe me,
it will make a big hit at a party.
Editor's note: the identity of the
narrator of this recipe has been lost over the years. We
know the recipe was originally in a family recipe box. My
guess is that the recipe would be 3 decades old, or older.
