Poppy Seed Dressing


A wonderful variant on the classic oil and vinegar dressing.



1/3 cup honey
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard (Grey Poupon)
3/4 cup salad oil
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 to 3 tsp. poppy seed
dash curry & nutmeg


In small bowl, combine honey, salt, vinegar & prepared mustard. Gradually add salad oil, beating thoroughly until the mixture is very well blended. Stir in the onion and poppy seed. Turn into a pint jar, cover, and chill for several hours before serving to blend the flavors. Shake well before mixing in the salad. Makes about 1-1/4 cups dressing.
