Key Lime Pie


Refrigerator Magnet Collection

(Makes one 8- or 9-inch pie).



(1) 8 or 9 inch baked pastry shell (or)
graham cracker crumb crust
1/2 cup RealLime
® Lime Juice from concentrate
3 egg yolks
yellow or green food coloring, optional
1 (14oz) can Eagle
® brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
Whipped cream or whipped topping


This is obviously a Borden's recipe, from our Refrigerator Magnet Collection. Sure is good!

Preheat oven to 325F. In large mixer bowl, beat eggs with Eagle Brand®, RealLime® brand and food coloring if desired. Pour into prepared pastry shell; bake 30 minutes. Cool. Chill. Top with whipped cream. Garnish if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.

Creamy Lemon Pie: substitute RealLemon® Lemon Juice from concentrate for RealLime® brand. Proceed as above.

Elsie's Tip: Beat whipping cream until still peaks form; it will double in volume.

Prep time: 15 minutes. Total time: 3 hours.
