Makes about 2 dozen Haystacks

Neither cookie nor candy, "Haystacks" are soft dessert treats, about the consistency of creamy fudge, with the flavors of butterscotch and peanut butter. The chow mein noodles add a delightful light texture to a new and different treat that's sure to become a favorite. Thanks to our friend Laura S. for this grand dessert discovery!



1 - 11 oz bag Butterscotch Morsels, Nestle
1/4 - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup dry chow mein noodles (Chun King)


Melt butterscotch morsels over very low heat. ("Morsels" are shaped like chocolate chip drops). Once melted, blend in the peanut butter and chow mein noodles.
Drop mixture by tablespoon on wax paper, and let cool.

It's very simple. And extraordinarily yummy. Nothing to bake, and very little to clean up. A sure-fire hit.
