Chocolatetown Pie

 

Makes 1 pie

 

Ingredients:

1 9-INCH UNBAKED DEEP DISH PASTRY SHELL
1/2 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
2 EGGS, BEATEN
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
1 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 CUP SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS OR WALNUTS

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare or buy frozen pastry shell, set aside. Heat oven. In medium mixing bowl, cream butter; add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine sugar and flour, mix together and add to creamed mixture of butter, vanilla and eggs. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, mix well and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until top is golden.

Cool about one hour; serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Refrigerate leftover pie if there is any.

This pie is so rich that you should cut it into small slices, and if you don't want to serve it with ice cream or whipped cream, no one will be the wiser. Enjoy!
